==Biography==
Lucius Valerius Cato, has been in the public eye more than he’d like to, during social gatherings he would usually keep to himself, but it wasn’t unusual to hear offensive remarks directed at him and his family, disguised as but jests. Although none really understood how rotten their family has become, which was a relief and allowed Lucius to admit the faults of his kin, while also twisting the words of the offender against them. Otherwise, he was seen as cold and unemotional, with rare sparks of emotion when engaging in debates about philosophy, law and religion.

Alas, in the years leading up to the FOTR era, with the passing of his father Marcus, Lucius seemingly fell to despair, shutting himself off even more, not even engaging in heated discussions as often as he used to. Whether it is his age making him reserved and mature, or the shock of the death of Marcus is unknown. What is known is that after he started dedicating much more time to wandering around the Pantheon and looking after the temples, giving more time to religion, almost entirely forgetting about politics and trying to achieve consulship.

This has caused turmoil within the family, who all have been itching to see their genus in the seat of consul for once. Some branches hate him, some understand his reservations, some choose to not engage whatsoever. But what can be said for sure is that the family’s future is quite uncertain, their rivals rubbing their hands together, ready to jump at an opportune time of weakness, vying to undermine and destroy them.
