Biography
From infancy, Punnia Aurelia was raised to be a sacrifice, an offering with no mother, no father, and no life beyond what was demanded of her. She was taught that obedience brought praise and reward, while defiance meant punishment. So she learned early to smile, to appear joyful, to remain soft and naïve. She did not understand it then, as a child barely past her first steps, but it was a defense, something she built within herself simply to survive.
“The Cult” was all Punnia knew. Her world turned only by the will of its elders, their words absolute, their desires unquestioned. This life continued until her sixth winter, when she was finally deemed ready to be offered to their socalled god.
But the sacrifice never came to pass.
On that very night, priests and priestesses of Rome descended upon the cult, eradicating its darkness and scattering its followers. Punnia was taken from the altar, not as an offering, but as a child in need of saving. Too young to live on her own, she was brought into the care of the Roman Clergy, raised within the temples of the gods themselves.,
There, she grew at their knees, learning reverence, discipline, and devotion. Out of gratitude, loyalty, and a deep-rooted need to belong, Punnia rose with the sun each day without fail, offering prayers with unwavering faith. Her devotion became so constant, so sincere, that the clergy came to call her Punnia Aurelia the Devout, a title she carried with quiet pride, never once straying from her duty to the temple, nor from what she believed to be right and good.
