Biography
Never before had a member of the Romilius line been anything higher than a Plebeian laborer, and that was the expectation Romilius held for himself growing up in Rome. Years upon years were spent as a teenager learning the ways of the forge, melting and molding metal into small knives and simple armor plates in preparation for the rest of his life with pride.
That is, until his father died. With his father’s passing, the forge he had used his entire life was turned over back to the Republic and Kaine was left with nothing but intermediate blacksmithing skills and a desire to understand the city he lived in.
He allowed grief and frustration to simmer until turning to Apollo for guidance, hoping for light to be shined upon the path he should take next, and for his heart and mind to be healed so he may continue on in life. What he received instead was, initially, a curse; light became a source of pain, especially daylight, causing Romilius headaches and killing any and all productivity he could achieve while forging white-hot metal. Months passed as Romilius pleaded and bargained with Apollo to cure his light sensitivity (to no response) before the fear of achieving nothing in his life had won. Romilius picked himself up, wrapped a cloth around his eyes, and stepped outside.
Upon finding that, despite losing absolutely clear sight, he could still partially see through the cloth without it causing immense pain, Kaine became a new man. He fully embraced each day and dedicated himself to learning once more, though this time, focused on the economy and politics of his home. His efforts eventually paid off when he officially rose to the position of Governor in the Administration Institute, keeping in mind the few people who truly helped him so that he may help them in return.
Appearance
Romilius is 5’7”, lean with soft muscle definition. His platinum hair spills down his back and is often braided for convenience. Across his chest and over his shoulders rests a ruby red shawl at all times. Most recognizable, however, is the black blindfold tied over his eyes that wraps around his head.
Personality
Loyal, Confident, Perfectionist. He’s a worker, always looking to have a clear goal and isn’t afraid to forge his own way to accomplish it. He strives to tell people what they want to hear and keep operations running smoothly.
