Biography
The youngest and last legitimate child of House Lucretia, born after the mysterious death of their late father. Vies for the affection of their mother, Aemilia Lucretia Tricipinus but never attained the care they desired. Instead, they spent much of their childhood occupied by the epics and poetry in their education, and became infatuated with the myths of heroes and gods. Because of the lack of attention from their mother, Cinna often snuck away from the grounds of the domus to observe and intermingle with plebeians, curious about their occupations and livelihoods. On these excursions, they bore witness to the laws and help provided by their mother’s work and the influence of House Lucretia and grew to respect her and the values of the House in spite of her neglect. After reaching adulthood, Cinna followed their eldest sister in the church and found routine in the structure of rites and procedure.
Outwardly, they are cordial and friendly to all, as their eldest sister, Octavia Lucretia Verus Helvia had raised them to be. They think fondly of their cousins and of their sisters, and often jab playfully or engage in banter with them. Inwardly, they harbour harsh and persisting grievances against their mother, as well as the family’s illegitimate children, whom they believe to have undeservedly won the affection and attention of the matriarch in the form of sponsorships and support. Still, they hope desperately to still be of use to the house and their mother, and value their mother’s honor— whom they believe embodies the values of House Lucretia— above all else.
As a personal hobby, they still enjoy hiding away to listen to the tales and shenanigans of plebeian acquaintances they’ve made over the years, obsessed with the various lives being led within the same Republic. They enjoy hunting down unlikely stories and myths that have yet to be documented in the written works of poets and playwrights, especially those that are first spread amongst commonfolk or the working citizens of the Republic from conquests far from the capital.
