Biography
The youngest daughter of Monkeus Vinarius, Axonia carries the same burning ambition that has distinguished her family for generations. At 21, she serves in an administrative capacity, hoping to elevate her family’s wine enterprise back to the same heights as it was during their golden age. In formal and social settings, she is consistently polite, articulate, and welcoming, always happy to strike up a conversation and make new connections. It’s quite clear her mission is to preserve and strengthen the Vinarius name— though she remains somewhat of an enigma to even those close to her, who note that she rarely reveals more than is necessary. She is generally cordial to plebeians, though she does carry some subtle sense of distance that can be read as snobbery.
Axonia handled the family's domestic affairs, reviving their wine enterprise. She was a leader of the Optimates Rebellion following Monkeus' death, and was killed in the subsequent battle.

Personality
Axonia has an air of constant composure around her, giving off the impression of natural elegance. Standing fairly tall for her time at around 5’4”, she certainly carries herself with noble confidence, her posture straight and assured. Her thick brown hair falls down her back and is adorned by two red poppies, one side decorated with small green leaves. Her eyes, wine-red in colour, are the distinct marker of her Vinarii heritage. She often wears a flowing white stola with a red border, fastened around her waist with a thin golden band.
After the events of 49 BC, Axonia has changed very little in the course of a year. Outwardly she still presents herself as cordial and conversational, which has allowed her to spread the Vinarius name by advertising her family's honey wine. However, those who know her at home will say that her mask slips far more often now—that when she enters the privacy of the Vinarius estate, her polite smile falls. Her lips tightening into an unimpressed neutral line, and her face creasing with weariness.
At home, she speaks sparingly to her family members—especially not to her plebeian half brother Djentus. She spends most of her time overseeing their family's plebeian workers as she has always done, perfecting their wine recipe, or cooped up in her room journalling. Axonia is now far more guarded, independently managing her duties within the family while accepting little help from her siblings—as she believes she's the only one fit to do what she does.
The chaos of the past year wears down her mind. Where should she even begin? The economic instability, the wars waging beyond Rome's walls, the mounting political conflict... the looming threat of the Gods' disapproval, and the crackling tension within the Vinarius household were all factors contributing to her stony withdrawal. She is also more paranoid and brooding; one might catch her occasionally at the window in silence, looking out towards the stormy skies with an expression of deep worry as if apprehensive of the higher powers above. Though this she would never admit, and would only scowl at whoever asks her, pushing past them with haughty contempt. It appears that as of now, still no one has been able to crack her shell..
